Next weekend our FLCPA Meet #1 is running side by side with the TonySuits Wingsuit Performance Cup. Both events are anticipating doing their jumps on Saturday and using Sunday morning as a weather day. If all goes according to plan we’d like to put together a small XRW Mini Comp. We’ll do a briefing and competition draw once both wingsuit and canopy piloting competitions are complete. If both finish Saturday, we’ll start first thing Sunday morning. If one or both of them carries over into Sunday, we’ll get the XRW started as soon as we can.
Here’s some of the details:
This is designed for folks who already have some level of XRW experience. Must have experience and completed at least one XRW dock in the past. If it’s your first go at it, please join in the learning but entering a competition if you have never done this before is not a wise way to learn. Your first wingsuit jump or swoop wasn’t a competition, your first XRW jump shouldn’t be either.
3 rounds.
60 seconds working time. Working time begins upon release of the first point, or 45 seconds after exit of the first team member.
Scoring from video on helmet of canopy pilot.
Draw Process:
Open:Each round will consist of 5 formations from two sets of the six formations as shown in the dive pool. After each sequence is drawn, the five formations shall be returned to the dive pool so that they may be drawn again.
Intermediate: Each round will consist of 4 formations from two sets of the three formations as shown in the dive pool. After each sequence is drawn, the four formations shall be returned to the dive pool so that they may be drawn again.
