Ricky Nelson & Curt Bartholomew take top spots at Meet #3 in Sebastian, FL

The third meet of the 2017 FLCPA series brought us to the beachside town of Sebastian Florida.  An awesome dz with beautiful views of the intercostal waterways.  We had 32 competitors out for this stop, 14 in the PRO Class, 10 in the Intermediate, and 8 in the Beginner class.

2017Meet #3Intermediate Podium

Saturday started with a 7am take off and we began with the practice round. It started out around 5m/s and quickly climbed up over 7m/s before we could get into round one.  We attempted to wait out the winds but unfortunately Saturday brought no more jumping for us.

Sunday morning we got cracking at 7:00am. The day started with the winds over 5m/s which meant that while the beginners jumped for training, unfortunately the winds were over limits so their round didn’t count.  The Intermediate and Pro class managed to make two jumps each.  There was 1 rejump in Pro class and 2 in the intermediate class due to the winds popping up over 7m/s.  By the time we got them packed up and manifested for the rejump the winds were up to 11m/s and higher so we weren’t able to call round 2 complete.

2017Meet #3Open PodiumAfter the winner take all one round meet the Pro class had Curt Bartholomew taking the Gold, Justin Price for the Silver, and Shane Seydel for Bronze.  In the Intermediate Class Tricky Ricky Nelson was in first, Brian Redfield in second, and Pat Kessler in third.
